Large Books
We define our "large books" as those that are over two hundred pages. All Texas Historical Press books are double the size of most ordinary books making a two hundred page book equivalent to a four hundred page ordinary one. Because of the large content of each book and the fact that there are no postage and handling fees, Texas Historical Press books are a great value. They make excellent, inexpensive gifts.

In Search of a Saint - In Search of a Saint is the second book on Fr. Antonio Margil de Jesus. He is this important to the history of East Texas and all of Texas, being one of its European founding fathers, but he is not credited with this.

The Firsts of Everything in the Early Days of East Texas - European East Texas is the oldest part of Texas. The first Spanish arrived in 1690 and brought livestock that remained in the forest and multiplied profusely, allowing the horse and cattle drives that would come later.
